I’m a writer in New York. I’ve done stuff for ABC World News, Slate, Nerve, n+1, The Daily Beast, Billboard, IGN, Paste, The New Inquiry, Bookforum, The Believer, The Faster Times, Edge, The Millions, Fanzine, Gamasutra, Kill Screen, and others. I’ve written about videogames, sex, animals, Madagascar, Zimbabwe, music, books, male lactation, poetry, poverty, transgendered people, and Four Loko. I also wrote “one of the best stories on toenail painting” ever written.

I used to work in movies, assisting the producer on Donnie Darko and Brokedown Palace. I’ve directed two short films, written some screenplays, and I did Peace Corps twice, in China and Madagascar.
